Resident WIF Physio Sarah May spoke with SMH about the anatomical reasons behinds why itโs time for women to stop sucking in their bellies.
Sarah explains that when the abdominal muscles are held in too tight constantly they can lead to huge health issues such as reduced lung capacity & diaphragm mobility, increased prolapse risk, pelvic floor dysfunction, digestion issues and neck pain just to name a few.
Breathing really is the first step in a well functioning body, and if those abdominals are constantly on then you have no chance!
